Jacob Trites, president of Southern Marine Enterprise, loves his community. He grew up in Franklin County and still resides there with his wife Kaitlyn, two children and a baby on the way in 2024.

Jacob proudly employs a team of 14 individuals - three of which are veterans. During the first 10 years, his company focused on restoration and rebuilding docks, then in 2020 they began building new docks while expanding their services. Their success is a result of providing high-quality, durable and innovative solutions for docks and outdoor needs. They haul tons of rip rap - both by land and lake - all done in-house, which helps keep the expenses affordable.
